At Berean Calvary Church, we're always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you'll join us for a service, and see what God has to say through his word and the Pastor's preaching. Here's what you can expect when you come to our services.
Our church is located at 108 E 1st Street, and parking is located behind the church or in the front or across the street at Sage Stage. If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the spots closest to the door. We like to keep them free for visitors and people who need assistance.
You can expect to hear a message with a lot of passion and conviction as we do believe in a literal heaven and a literal hell. We intend to give you the truth no matter what and we will not skirt around the issues. Truth is preached plainly and it is not uncommon that some people get offended. We believe that it actually takes guts to come to this church as we preach repentance and accountability and God's redeeming power. We preach against sin and point people to the exclusive answer of Jesus Christ as the answer for every problem. While there is no church dress code, this is a church meeting so we should try to wear our best and not come in our pajamas.
When you walk in, find one of our greeters and introduce yourself. They're usually stationed at the doors and welcome table, and they'll show you where everything is. They'll help you find the nursery and Sunday school rooms if you have kids. Our greeters can also point you to the restrooms and answer questions.
You can expect to hear loud singing by everyone and a warm atmosphere as our people love the Lord Jesus. We sing hymns and not contemporary songs. We preach the King James Bible and not any other perversion of the scripture.
Be sure to hang around after the service and join us for coffee. You'll have a chance to meet our pastor and many other people in the church. We'd also love to get to know you so you're a familiar face the next time you come.
