Today is the day which the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. Despite the pains or struggles of yesterday, today looms as a fresh opportunity to start over with the Lord, firstly proclaiming his goodness to you and rejoicing in the fact that the Lord Jesus is in control, regardless of the thoughts and opinions of our world leaders. One day the world will acknowledge that Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, but we proclaim that in our hearts and in our lives everyday, or at least we should.
2023- I never thought I would see those digits on a calendar. Yet, here we are. The Lord’s return to take his bride, the church, home seems to be just around the corner. Could it be this year? It very well may be, I don’t know. But the call comes ringing o’er the restless waves, SEND THE LIGHT. SEND THE LIGHT. We are told not to put our light under a bushel. The light that the Lord Jesus has put into us must, of necessity, proceed forth and touch the lives of those around us. If we don’t? Then we can be guaranteed to see more suicides, more marriages destroyed, more satanism, humanism, communism, and more evil running rampant in all of its forms.
Let’s spend this year… weeping for lost souls, pleading with folks to be saved, and much more praying and fasting. Only the Lord could count just how many evil spirits are gone out into the world and into our own community, but that number has seemed to greatly increase the last couple years. I truly believe that THAT kind can not come out except by prayer and fasting. The power that raised up Jesus Christ from the dead is within us, if we are saved by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Out of OUR belly shall flow rivers of living water. That comes from a belly that has been fasting and a heart that has been praying for the Holy Spirit of God to touch people’s lives by convincing them of sin, righteousness, and judgment. If that is the work of the Holy Spirit, preaching from our pulpit must match that aim.
It’s time to start over, Christian. Read that Bible again, yes again. It doesn’t need to be rewritten, it needs to be reread. Get on your knees again, and spend some precious time there, and tell the Lord everything. Commune, your spirit with his Spirit, and see a fresh revival sweep your heart and your family, and your church.
