Proverbs 16:25 (and Proverbs 14:12) says that “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” It is so typical of human nature to attempt devising a life plan that will “work” for them. Counsel is sought of the likes of Tony Robbins, and maybe great politicians, perhaps Oprah Winfrey, and multi-billionaires. The goal is to GET as much as you can in as little time as possible. The Lord pointed this out, that of physical things, “do the Gentiles seek after.” And to many, if not the majority of Americans, this way seems right. To another vast multitude, soon to be the majority (and certainly will be after the Rapture of the church), the way that seems right to them is that we all share what we have with each other and claim the government as our daddy and earth for our mother.
In the third installment of the Indiana Jones movies, titled The Last Crusade,” Doctor Jones finds himself in a room with likely over 100 cups, or “grails” to choose from. The goal was to pick which one the Lord drank out of (which is typical Catholic legend nonsense, but anyways…). The apparent reality is that there is only ONE right answer, and about 99 wrong answers. That struck me to be symbolic of our lives and the salvation plan. There is only one way to heaven, but thousands of ways to get to Hell. Amongst the ways to get to Hell is “a way that seemeth right” unto you. Listen, man is NOT the measure of all things, the Lord Jesus Christ is. HE has to be the standard for what is right and wrong, and what you are to judge your soul by. After all, the Lord Jesus Christ is going to be your Judge. You expect to get past the judgment by rejecting THE way provided for by THE Judge himself??
The Bible says “Before honor, there is humility.” The first thing you need to realize is that YOUR WAY was wrong, and that THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE was right. Even if YOUR way happened to be following Mohammed, or Joseph Smith, or Brigham Young, or Augustine or the Pope, the way you chose was WRONG, and that takes humility to admit that.
The Bible says, “Broad is THE WAY that leadeth to destruction, and MANY there be which go in thereat. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is THE WAY which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13-14. If you are looking for the truth, expect to find it in a NARROW place, where it is “thus saith the Lord,” and ONE Bible is lifted up as the word of God, and all WAYS are tried in the balance against that King James Bible and only the Lord Jesus Christ is preached as THE way to heaven.

Very well put.
